excerpts from an article published in the Gazette:

How did cooking become more than just a means to a meal for you? I’ve always had a big appetite and an interest in creative cooking. I call it ‘pantry love’, making an everyday meal with whatever I have in the fridge (pantry). Simply because it is fun, economical and often an interesting, unexpected pairing of flavours that you don’t normally get when following a recipe.

Why focus on condiments and marinades? Because they are the everyday heroes! They are so easy to make, lovely to share and yet transforms an every day counter meal into a dining experience....

How important are condiments and marinades to a delicious meal? VERY IMPORTANT! We actually have a whole condiments (bar) fridge dedicated to different jars of chutneys, pastes, sauces and of course pre-made experimental condiments.

Why should people get the cookbook? The right condiments change home cooked meals, and people who don’t know are missing out!! This book is the perfect introduction to easy-to-make, quick condiments and a great reference for people to have handy. Buying the book will also support the local design community in Fremantle, some of whom have been involved in this project.
